Today, I went out to the Hocking Hills and Old Man's Cave with my family, plus my grandparents who are visiting at the moment. We decided to picnic there, which was a slightly irritating experience for someone like me who hates insects and sitting under trees. (I'm not a real nature person.) But once we went down into the gorge, it was just beautiful! The rocks overhang in such a way it's just indescribable. Standing in the center of Old Man's Cave and looking up at the ridge that covers the cave is simply breathtaking. There are also lots of tiny streams and waterfalls that just inspired me. Whoever you are, you need to go down there someday if you haven't already. (If you have already you should do it again!) One of these days when I'm an adult and there's a draught so the stream is low, I'm going to go back and take the longer hiking routes and go into some of the off-trail areas. Only the ones by the stream bed, mind you. Nothing says "I are an geniuse!" like going into un-railed, specifically block off areas that are a dozen meters about the rocky stream-bed below. Not that this stopped a lot of teenagers, some of whom jumped the fence at high speed. Proving again the main difference between genius and stupid is that genius has limits.
